What does belt test mean?
Belt Rank Testing is how students earn their next belt and move up through the ranks to and through the Black Belt ranks. For students to learn self-confidence and the importance of working toward a goal, they need to step up to the challenge of testing for their next rank.
From the colors of the belt one can easily judge about the rank and the level of expertise about any person doing karate. The more common color that we come across is white and black. Where white represents the starting level, Black represents the true expert having highest rank.
Every Kyu(Belt) grade has its own syllabus that needs to be learnt and during the grading progress this syllabus will be marked on a number of factors. If the student reaches the desired standard they will pass their grading and move on to their new kyu grade.
White Belt (kyu) The white color symbolizes the beginning of a karateka’s journey, the purity of the mind, and a clean start.
Yellow Belt (kyu)The yellow color represents the sunlight meaning a karateka has achieved some understanding that gives hope for a future of potential growth.
Orange Belt (kyu) The orange color signifies the sun’s intensity, and a student with an orange belt is thought to have gained more understanding of the basics of karate and shown a strengthened commitment to training.
Brown Belt (kyu) The color brown represents a ripening seed ready for harvest. Brown belt students are ready to move to the next level and begin a new journey in martial arts.
Black Belt. Shodan. The color black symbolizes the end, meaning the student has completed a transformation from an unknowing white belt to one with skills and a deep understanding of Shitō-ryū. It also signals the beginning of a new journey.

Note:-If a student skips one or more belts, then the amount of belt left will also be added to the belt amount and paid.
